Greg Poland
Capt. Greg Poland left his position with the FBI for an outdoor office in the Florida Keys and Everglades National Park. His passion for fishing began at an early age when he worked on the docks at the family-owned marina on the famous Miami River. Now you can find Greg fishing the quiet waters of the backcountry chasing rolling Tarpon at sunrise or out on the Atlantic side of the island catching his clients a fresh fish dinner.
Greg is a charter boat captain specializing in light tackle and fly fishing based out of the world-famous Lorelei in downtown Islamorada. He has guided anglers in some of the most prestigious fishing tournaments in the world as well as family fun fishing charters with first time visitors to the Florida Keys. Being a 30+ year veteran to this type of fishing has helped make Greg one of the most knowledgeable individuals in this sport and we are happy to have him on board. Throughout the years, he has helped design flats skiffs and has maintained advisor roles in some of the highest quality boat manufacturers in the boating and outdoor world. Currently, Greg runs a 25’ Contender bay boat and has been their Florida Keys Pro-Staff member for almost a decade. He is also a Pro-Staff member for Yamaha, Sirius XM Marine, and a few other notable companies.
Greg has been featured in numerous television programs and fishing journals and has commanded the helm of a variety of sport boats. He is also a professional photographer.
